Request Soteria Access to Get Started
Streamline the collaborative data analysis steps by utilizing Soteria. To qualify for Soteria enclave access, the research must involve analyzing PII or PHI data.
Getting started with Soteria is simple. Begin by filling out an application for access with your IRB status. We’ll walk you through the rest. If you’re still in the IRB process, we can help you demonstrate how you’ll safeguard PII/PHI with Soteria.
Get started requesting access to the Soteria enclave for your research:
- Apply for access to the Soteria enclave by completing the Soteria Access Request Form.
- Complete the required training that is available in Edge Learning with a valid UA NetID: University Information Security Awareness, HIPAA Essentials, and Insider Threat Awareness.
- Select the appropriate resource or tool needed for access. If you are not sure which one works best for you, review the detailed descriptions of the tools and resources. If needed, researchers can request additional access, subsequent to the initial application.
- Once granted access, follow the instructions in your confirmation email for adding Soteria Enclave access to the University of Arizona Virtual Private Network (VPN) client.
- After successfully connecting to the VPN, researchers will be able to access resources inside the enclave.
